Citizens of SimpliCITY include:
S+Tots (1st grade and under), S+Kids (2nd-5th), and SimplicitYOUTH (6th-9th).
SimpliCITY is an educational program that's been designed to teach biblical principles through various forms of artistic expression. The vision is for SimpliCITY to meet on Wednesdays during our adult groups and to break up these weekly meetings into 4-6 week long courses that focus on a specific book or theme in the Bible. For example, our initial course has been titled, In The Beginning; The Story of Genesis Expressed Through Art. Each week there will be offerings for 3 different age groups: S+Tots (1st grade and under), S+Kids (2nd-5th), and SimplicitYOUTH (6th-9th) with older high-school kids helping as Teaching Assistants (10th-12th). Courses will be divided up into two parts - Musical Arts, lead by Jamie Bramble, and Visual Arts, lead by Kathryn Bramble - with S+Kids and SimplicitYOUTH switching tracks midway through each course so as to get full arts integration and multiple lenses through which to learn about biblical principles. S+Tots will have modified, developmentally appropriate versions for each activity.
Sunday mornings at SimpliCITY are structured in a similar fashion as the Wednesday evening educational program. Teachings are designed to coincide thematically with the teachings of the adult sermon series.
Kathryn Bramble, Children's Ministry Director at Simplicity and a 4th generation teacher, constantly strives to make education for children fun and exciting. Your kiddos are in good hands at SimpliCITY, but don't just take our word for it - come check us out!
Growing Together in our Faith
At Simplicity, we gather for a variety of seasonal studies to grow together in our faith. We break bread together, pray together, and approach the Gospel through a variety of lenses.
Real Conversation. Good Beer.
Simplicity is proud to present Pub Theology, an emerging ministry that meets quarterly as a means to connect with people while exploring the gospel alongside social, cultural, and spiritual ideologies.
Service and Outreach
Changing the world one life at a time.
We cannot end world hunger, but we can provide meals for a local homeless shelter. We cannot heal the sick, but we can volunteer at our local hospitals. We at Simplicity believe that to change the world is to impact positively even one person, so we're always looking for ways, both big and small, to help the lives of the less fortunate in our community and beyond.
